I’ve always been a busybody, eager to take on everything (I blame my OCD for that lol) and care for everyone around me. However, since my diagnosis, I haven’t been able to do as much, especially in those initial weeks. I’ve felt the changes in my body—the quick fatigue and the longer recovery times. Becca has stepped up remarkably, managing everything I can’t and more—coaching softball practices and games, homeschooling, household duties, taking care of the dogs, and looking after herself, all while working. It’s been a heavy load, and I know it can be stressful. One thing we’ve learned is that life doesn’t pause for anyone. Through all the years she has been my steady rock, providing patience, love, and grace.
Recently, we’ve had support from my parents, Becca’s mom, and my sister, which has been a true blessing. Though this week, I underestimated the physical and mental challenges of the surgery. When Eden offered to come over and help, I didn’t realize how much we, as a family, needed her. She not only took care of me but also prioritized Becca and Payton, which was invaluable.
They say it takes a village in tough times, and I can’t express enough gratitude to everyone who has stepped in—whether by providing meals, helping out, or offering support in countless ways.
Thank you all
